چکیده
The thermal behavior of green clay samples from the Arumetsa and Füzérradvány deposits (Hungary) influence two new types Estonian oil shale (OS) ashes cement bypass dust (clinker dust) additives on it were objectives this study. Thermal thermo-dilatometric analysis methods applied using a Setaram Setsys 1750 thermoanalyzer coupled with Pfeiffer Omnistar spectrometer CS Evolution dilatometer. kinetic parameters calculated based differential isoconversional method Friedman. results clays blends indicated emission physically bound water at 200–250 °C. At temperatures °C to 550–600 release is caused by oxidation organic matter dehydroxylation different minerals like illite, illite-smectite, mica kaolin. From blends, in addition, also decomposition portlandite. CO2 these was result contained clays. In temperature range 800–900 °C, mass loss ongoing processes but mainly due carbonates OS clinker dust. These accompanied contraction expansion ceramic bodies corresponding changes SSA porosity values samples. Therefore, took place one step which steps. first, occurs, followed carbonates. value conversion-dependent activation energy E along reaction progress α varied for illitic between 75–182 9–206 kJ mol−1, respectively. For clay, first 14–193 5–205 second step, 15–390 135–235 respectively, indicating complex mechanism processes.

A review of morphological investigations carried out to clarify the pathogenicity of industrial dust produced in the mining and processing of Estonian oil shale is given. Histological examination of lungs of workers in the oil shale industry taken at necropsies showed that the inhalation of oil shale dust over a long period (more than 20 years) may cause the development of occupational pneumoco...
متن کاملCarcinogenicity studies of Estonian oil shale soots.
Several series of chronic experiments in white mice and white rats were carried out in order to determine the carcinogenicity of Estonian oil shale soot as well as the soot from oil shale fuel oil. All the investigated samples of soot showed a relatively low (from 14 to 1200 ppm) benzo(a)pyrene content. The benzene extract of oil shale soot, painted on the skin of white mice, proved to be stron...
متن کاملEffect of Oil Shale Ash Application on Leaching Behavior of Arable Soils: an Experimental Study
Oil shale ash contains mineral ingredients of agricultural importance and could be used for treatment of soils. However, the ash contains several hazardous ingredients, i.e. toxic trace metals which could be mobile and create environmental concerns. Beneficial use of the oil shale ash in agriculture and forestry requires better knowledge of leaching characteristics of soil-ash systems. In this ...
